About Assisted Living
Assisted living was developed as a bridge between living independently and requiring skilled nursing care. An assisted living facility should meet the needs of it’s guests who desire autonomy, strive for an independent lifestyle and require the support of a professional, compassionate, caring and dedicated staff.
We understand that the needs of our guests are unique and we offer those services to meet their needs. These include assistance with the following ADLs:
- Bathing or showering
- Grooming, including assistance with hair and teeth brushing, shaving, etc.
- Dressing, clothing selection or orientation
- Mobility - assistance with walking or wheelchair propelling to and from dining, activities, bathroom or excercises
- Transfering assistance to and from bed to chair or wheelchair
- Physical assistance with meals
- Toileting
- Incontinent care
The following are independent activities of daily living (IADLs):
- Meal preparation
- Housekeeping
- Laundry
- Money management
- Transportation
- Shopping
- Telephone usage
- House maintenance
There is no extra charge for these services at The Madison.
